In Indian Rummy, the game is also known as 80 Points Rummy, 13 Card Rummy, and Points Rummy. This card game is usually played between two and six players for a certain amount of rupees. Each deck of cards includes one joker, and the number of players determines how many standard decks are used. Players with zero rummy points are considered winners if they declare first.

As opposed to traditional rummy, this version has a predetermined number of points. Once a player reaches the tally of points, they are eliminated. After only one player remains, a winner is declared. Pool Rummy is available in two versions: 101 and 201.
